Foreign aid workers helping resurrect Haiti's art scene

Help
The 2010 earthquake did more than just devastate Haiti's infrastructure, it destroyed most of the country's art galleries and the livelihoods of artists who sold their paintings on the streets.
But the influx of NGO workers - and their cash - is helping to boost an artistic revival in the Caribbean country.
BBC Brazil's João Fellet reports.

This is a very hopeful new. Haiti is still needing help because of its disaster and we seem to forget it. There are more problems, but Haiti is still one of them.

It is nice to know there's people whose interests are there and it is helping that country. Haiti has to be reborn.

Art is a way to reconfort people from Haiti, they need a home, they need to feed their children but there are other things a country has to have: art, something that moves people.

I think it is a nice idea, and I think it has to grove too. More art, more homes, more help to Haiti.

A big hug to Haiti people!!

La bella principessa

It's the flip side to the multimillion-dollar counterfeit. The art world is abuzz with the recent discovery that a portrait thought to be the drawing of an unknown 19th century German artist is now being attributed to the Italian master Leonardo da Vinci. And the way the revelation was made is straight out of a Sherlock Holmes novel: researchers traced the portrait to the artist using a 500-year-old fingerprint. The 13-by-9-inch portrait, which has now been dubbed La Bella Principessa, is a delicate profile of a young aristocratic Milanese woman, drawn with pen, chalk and ink on an animal skin known as vellum. It was bought two years ago by an anonymous Swiss collector at the Ganz Gallery in New York for about $19,000. Experts now put the possible value of the artwork at upwards of $150 million.

This is another Leonardo's supposed painting! This portrait seems to be a real Leonardo Da Vinci painting. Really interesting, isn't it?

It was supposed to be a anonymous XIX century german portrait but now all the evidences point to the italian genius.

I was really excited when I saw the new National Geographic from March with a new Leonardo's portrait in its cover!!! That was a special edition about Leonardo and La bella principessa (wich seems to be Bianca Sforza from the Milan Sforza's family), I bought it immediately, with the DVD too.

That's a good new, it shows me that study art has a future, there are a lot of things to discober, a lot of things we can suppose on, a lot of new artists to find or old artists to study and learn for.

Art returns to Renaissance this March, to Leonardo Da Vinci special world. And I love it :)

Eros and Psique

What about this? Don't you think it is amazing?

I love this sculture of Antonio Canova, it apparents love everywhere. That moment, when Eros go to Psique is a nice moment. Love is in that moment. We don't see a kiss but we can imagine it, we don't see nothing more than a hug, a very special hug. But, it is simply a hug?

The way Eros is cover the breasts of Psyche, how she puts her arms around his neck and how thir look each other. It is amazing, i love it.

It is just incredible that someone can mold the marmol like this.

Dreaming next year and a part of my life

I hope I make a good decision when I have to choose my next year's degree. I think everyday what it may be, and I am a little bit scared because I have an idea but I don't know exactly what I finally will do.
I definetely will study at Barcelona, because I love it and I think it is a good way to see a diferent world than here in the village or in Girona, wich is nearly the same.

What scares me is the degree I will choose, that is to say, if I will do a good decision, a decision that makes me happy. I want to study something that inspires me, a degree that makes me wake up everyday with some (not a lot, I not dreaming) willings to go to the university.

I am thinking in Art History. I think is a lovely degree but I don't know what I will do after it if I choose this degree because we are in a very big crisis and, well, I don't know. I am sure that I will not study nothing that bores me, so I want to study a degree that likes me. And I love Art History.

I know Art History is a hard degree because is a lot of theoric knowledge and a lot of work, but every degree is the same, and I want to choose an humanistic one.

I am going to see every afternoon the syllabus of Art History in the UB  (university of Barcelona; "la central"). I think it is exciting and it has an optative subject wich is called Leonardo Da Vinci and Renaissance mural painting!!! I love Leonardo Da Vinci, I have history magazines about him and I bought a DVD about his life wich is quite interesting.

I dream in study Art History and go in a Erasmus to Italy; Florence or Rome. It would be amazing. Then I dream in patent an artistic cafe wich will be a very confortable place where people will go to eat something (not a lot of dishes, fiveteen maximum). That place would have a place where people will expose their works as literature, painting, cinema, sculture or architecture or... All arts possible. It will have copies of the most famous paintings, scultures or Da Vinci gadgets with written reports of its artistic history. I have the name of this band of art cafes, but I don't wanna say it because it is a very good idea ;) :P

That will be amazing if it comes true some day.

Now I have to wait and see wich degree I choose. Art Hisotry will be great but I have to see all possible degrees before I choose one.

I have a clear idea about Barcelona and UB university (or Pompeu Fabra maybe), now I hae to pass the PAU exams and hope all would be great for me, earn some money working in summer and then start a new phase of my life... Bye Bye!

(don't copy my idea of the art cafe...¬ ¬') jaajjajajja

A video and a song that moves me...

This is a song I love, I think that nobody that I know knows about this song. I love it, it is a beautiful song with great lyrics. Read them, they told a lot of things with poetry and with truth. The images are great, they show a nature world corrupt with money, people with no feelings, destroyed ideas... Nice video. Nice song.

I hope you will like it, it moves a lot, it moves me and sometimes these lyrics make me feel sad and tired. But also understood and hopeful. How makes it feel to you? It moves you? I hope it would do it. Let me know it!

I put here de lyrics because I consider that if no-one wants to see the video thay should read the lyrics too. No way, there are great, please, read them!!!

Here they are:

You grow, you roar
Although disguised
I know you

You'll learn to know
You grow, you grow like tornado
You grow from the inside
Destroy everything through
Destroy from the inside
Erupt like volcano
You flow through the inside
You kill everything through
You kill from the inside

You'll...
You'll learn to know
I wonder if I'm allowed ever to see
I wonder if I'm allowed to ever be free
You sound so blue
You now are gloom
You're now so blue
You now are gloom

I wonder if I'm allowed just ever to be

The new song of Lana del rey!

Ooooooooh I like so much this singer! Her voice is so special and her songs are beautiful. I knew about Blue jeans and Video games (I put them in the BSO of my novel The portrait of Pandora) and when I saw that Lana del rey was coming famous... Oh yeah, I thought, that means she will do a lot of songs more, yeh yeh!

So in Christmas I saw this new single. It is beautiful, with the same atmosphere than the other songs, the same style I like so much. Lana del rey is a special singer, one with character, songs with lyrics that tell something, with greate music and great voice, so I want to show her new single in my blog today.

Tell me if you like it please, comment or something!

Here I let you the lyrics of this amazing new song:

Feet don’t fail me now
Take me to the finish line
All my heart, it breaks every step that I take
But I’m hoping that the gates
They’ll tell me that you’re mine

Walking through the city streets
Is it by mistake or design?
I feel so alone on a Friday night
Can you make it feel like home,
if I tell you you’re mine
It’s like I told you honey

Don’t make me sad, don’t make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and
the road gets tough I don’t know why
Keep making me laugh
Let’s go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane
Choose your last words
This is the last time
Cause you and I, we were born to die

Lost but now I am found
I can see but once I was blind
I was so confused as a little child
Tried to take what I could get
Scared that I couldn’t find
All the answers, honey

Don’t make me sad, don’t make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and
the road gets tough I don’t know why
Keep making me laugh
Let’s go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane
Choose your last words,
This is the last time
Cause you and I
We were born to die
We were born to die
We were born to die

Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane
Don’t make me sad, don’t make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and
the road gets tough I don’t know why
Keep making me laugh
Let’s go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime

I've decided to be a blogger!

Yeeaah, I've decided it!!!

Why? Simply because yesterday I saw the estadistics of all my blogs and I saw that they were followed around the world! And I were like: OMG, this is real? Oh yessss.

Blogger is a big window to the world, now I have seen it, I mean, for example: this blog has been seen more times in the USA than here in Spain, nearly 400 times. That's incredible!

But not only people of the USA follow or saw my blogs, there where people around the world: Japan, Mexico, Finland, Italy, Colombia, Russia, Bielorussia, Venezuela, Iran... A lot of countries I said it! The list continues and continues. Waaah...
That means that everybody can be famous, can show their thoughts, it really can happen, I know it for sure yesterday when I saw the estadistics. Incredible...

So I decided to be a blogger (I was, but without knowing the importance of it). Now I know it. I can reach every country without a click! you will see.

I thank the teachers of our high school have shown to us (or forced) to use de blog, it is a very useful tool. Thank you so much!

I go now to see another time the estadistics of our world...jujuju

Bye! ;)
